Why have an intimate wedding?
An intimate wedding isn’t about having less but about making space for what matters most.
Big weddings are beautiful too- but there’s something special about keeping it under 100. With fewer guests, the day feels different- you recognize every face, have time for real conversation, and feel less rushed and overwhelmed.
It’s a slower, more meaningful way to celebrate. One where you can truly experience the day, not just move through it.

Your rental includes use of our intimate wedding barn and surrounding outdoor spaces, tables and chairs for up to 100 guests, access to scenic ceremony and photo locations, on-site parking, modern restrooms (coming late 2026!), and a simple speaker system with microphones for announcements and ceremony use.
Full weekend rentals also include access to the bridal cottage for two nights, offering a relaxed space to get ready, stay, and enjoy your wedding weekend.

Nordhaven is designed for intimate weddings and gatherings of up to 100 guests.

For single-day rentals, access begins at 10:00 AM, with music ending at 11:00 PM and all guests and belongings cleared by 12:00 AM.
Weekend rentals include extended access from Friday afternoon through Sunday, allowing time to set up, celebrate, and clean up without feeling rushed.
All events must follow local noise guidelines.

Yes. The bridal cottage may be used for getting ready on your wedding day.
For single-day rentals, all personal belongings must be removed from the cottage by 7:00 PM.
For weekend rentals, the cottage is included for two nights and may be used throughout your stay.

Yes. Tables and chairs are included in the banquet area for up to 100 guests.
We also offer 100 white ceremony chairs to be set up in the ceremony location of your choosing. -
We have rectangular white tablecloths and a select number of neutral round floral tablecloths available upon request for an added charge.

The barn does not have air conditioning, but it features strong natural airflow, ceiling fans, and large doors that can be opened for ventilation. Like many barn venues in Minnesota, the space is designed to be enjoyed during the warmer months.

Ceremonies typically take place outdoors, with views of the lake, hills, forest, and surrounding property. Couples are free to choose the location that best fits their vision.
Couples are encouraged to have a weather backup plan. The barn, covered areas, or a rented tent may be used depending on your setup and guest count. -
Yes. Couples may choose their own vendors.
Licensed and insured caterers and food trucks are welcome.Please note that we do not have a dedicated catering kitchen space, so vendors should be equipped to work within a mobile or self-contained setup.
All vendor deliveries and pickups must take place within your rental period unless approved in advance.

Yes. At this time, alcohol may be brought onto the property, but it must be served by a licensed and insured bartender. Self-service alcohol is not permitted.

Yes. Event liability insurance is required, and all vendors must carry their own liability insurance. We also recommend optional cancellation insurance for additional protection.

Yes. You’re welcome to decorate the space to fit your vision within our guidelines. We ask that nothing be nailed, stapled, taped, or attached in a way that could cause damage.
Candles are allowed when fully enclosed in glass votives or hurricane-style holders. Glitter and confetti are not permitted. Sparklers are allowed outdoors with prior approval, and fireworks are not permitted.
For weekend rentals, decor and items may remain on-site during your rental period. For single-day rentals, all personal items must be removed by the end of the night unless otherwise arranged.

Pets are welcome with prior approval. We ask that pets are supervised at all times and are not allowed inside the bridal cottage.

Yes. On-site parking is available for guests.
Vehicles may remain overnight, but must be removed by:
12:00 PM the next day for weekend rentals
8:00 AM the following morning for single-day rentals

A Nordhaven team member will be available during your rental for venue-related support. We do not provide full wedding coordination. We strongly recommend hiring a day-of coordinator to ensure your day runs smoothly.

Yes. Rehearsal time is included with weekend rentals. For single-day rentals, rehearsal time may be available based on availability.

Nordhaven is a seasonal venue, typically hosting events May through October.

Absolutely! Engagement and additional photo sessions may be scheduled with prior approval.

Yes. An ADA ramp and restrooms will be installed in 2026.

Yes. Nordhaven Events has recently received county approval We are currently completing final requirements—including ADA-compliant restrooms, building code, and fire safety measures—prior to occupancy, and are booking for upcoming events.
